BUCKY COVINGTON TO RACE LEGENDS CAR AT FAIRGROUNDS SPEEDWAY NASHVILLE WITH BENEFIT CONCERT
Nashville, TN…(July 24, 2012)…Country Music Star Bucky Covington will take his place in the driver’s seat for the Legends Car Race on August 11th at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, TN to benefit Nashville’s Local 140 Fire Fighters Relief Fund and Help The Good Guys. Originally from Rockingham, NC, the birthplace of NASCAR, Covington is a huge race fan and recently had the honor of singing the national anthem at the Iowa Speedway. This, however, will be his first time behind the wheel of a racecar.
The family-friendly event kicks off Saturday, August 11 with qualifying starting at 2pm followed by an autograph session by Covington at 4:00pm and a full band concert at 4:30pm. Bucky will then suit up and race his custom made Legends car at 5:30pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit Help The Good Guys, a Nashville based organization that raises money to provide immediate financial relief for injured or fallen firefighters and their families, as well as the Local 140 Fire Fighters Relief Fund.
All events are open to the public. Tickets can be purchased upon arrival at the Fairgrounds Speedway.
